Introduction

Graduates from IT program can work as programmer analysts, systems analysts, systems integrators, MIS specialists, database administrators, management consultants, software engineers, systems analysts, project managers, software programmers, IT consultants, Knowledge Technologists, IT Technical Analysts, Data Managers in addition to software engineers, programmers and project managers and etc.

Program Structure

For the award of Bachelor of Information Technology (with Honours), a student is required to complete at least 115 credit hours and must get at least 2.00 cumulative grade point average (CGPA) through the following structure: click here

Free Elective (3 Credit Hours)

Students can choose any course offered by other programs within the College of Information Technology (UUM) or any course offered by other colleges subject to the following:

a. Must fulfill Pre-requisite course if any.

b. Equivalent courses are NOT considered as free elective.

Admission Requirement

i) SPM

A pass in SPM/equivalent and
Credit in Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu
(A pass with at least grade C in Bahasa Melayu/Malay Literature at STPM level can be accepted as a substitute for the credit in Bahasa Malaysia/Bahasa Melayu at SPM level)
A pass in English and
Credit in Mathematics/Additional Mathematics
( A pass in Mathematics/Additional Mathematics and credit in Principal of Accounting/Elementary Economics/Commerce at SPM level can be accepted as a substitute for the credit in Mathematics/Additional Mathematics)

ii) STPM

Pass at one sitting of the STPM examination with at least;
Grade C in Pengajian Am/Kertas Am and;
Grade C in two other subjects

iii) STAM

Pass at one sitting of the STAM examination with at least 'Jayyid'

iv) GCE

At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education 'Advanced Level' (GCE) 'A' Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained at one sitting

v) DIPLOMA

Possesses Diploma or other qualifications recognized by the Malaysian government and accredited by the UUM senate;

and

vi) Taken the Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
