"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head.

If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart." ~ Nelson Mandela

Centre for Languages (CEL) helps the students to enhance their language skills by providing the students well- rounded development and progress in all areas of language learning (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

As English is a medium of instruction, both in learning and services in the International Islamic College (IIC), the Centre offers English courses range from Beginner, Elementary, Pre- intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced levels to its Certificate and Diploma students. In addition, Business Communication is also offered to acquaint the students with the basic concepts of oral communication and business writings.

The Centre also provides short English courses to the college students as well as the public. Intensive English programme (IEP): English and MUET are currently two demanding courses in CEL. These programmes cater to all who need to develop their English proficiency intensively and those who are preparing for Malaysian University English Test (MUET). With minimum students, qualified and experienced lecturers, the classes are more advanced and compact.

Besides our English courses, other languages are also available for the students such as Bahasa Kebangsaan (Malay Language), an MQA required course. The course is compulsory to both local and international students. Arabic language is also offered as part of the required (for the DIC students only) and elective courses. For the latest addition, Mandarin is surely a fun and 'adventurous' language to learn!

The Centre welcomes you to grow with us, to embrace your opportunities by learning more languages and most importantly to boost your confidence.
