Bismillah
al-Rahman al-Rahim
All praise is to
Allah, Whom we thank and seek for His help and forgiveness. We seek
refuge in Allah from the evils of ourselves and the burden of our
evil deeds. Whomsoever He guides, will never be misled, and
whomsoever He misguides, will never find enlightenment. I testify
that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Mohammad
is His slave and Messenger.
Allah said, what translated means, "O you who believe! Fear Allah as
He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam" [3:102],
also, "Mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a
single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife (Eve),
and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah
through whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the
relations) of the wombs (kinship)! Surely, Allah is Ever an All-
Watcher over you." [4:1] and, "O you who believe! Keep your duty to
Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the Truth’s over the year? We
should exert ourselves in generosity which is in this case good
behavior and intense worship.
It has been always
been the aim of the college to produce competitive Muslim
professionals. The college believes that anyone, if given proper
chance and opportunity, is able to become a valuable asset of the
country and the Muslim ummah as a whole.
Therefore, the
college has initiated various steps to achieve the purpose, taking
into account every aspect as possible, from scrutinizing the
syllabus of the courses offered, ensuring good lecturers organizing
activities and taking care off the students welfare.
However, it is
worrying to see some of the students, though in their final years of
studies, fail to exhibit the Islamic qualities that the college has
been hoping. Realizing this, the college feels that it is a need to
give specific attention on improving basic Islamic obligations via
the IIC Ibadah Camp.
This camp will be
joined by the final year students with the aim to “reset” their
minds. It is the hope that they will understand that graduating from
this college bears more responsibility for themselves, the nation
and the religion.
Furthermore, this
subject is very important for all final year students in
order for them to graduate. Those who fail to attend; they will
not be graduated from this college.
Since this subject
of Ibadah Camp ( ICD 5201 ) is approved and recognized by LAN
during their visit to our college in April 2002, we hope that
everybody will give a full support in order to ensure the smooth
running of the programme.
“That which you have
been given is but a fleeting comfort of this life. Better and more
enduring is that which Allah has for those who believe and put their
trust in Him; who avoid gross sins and indecencies and, when
angered, are willing to forgive; who obey their Lord, attend to
their prayers, and conduct their affairs by mutual consent; who
bestow in alms a part of that which We have given them and, when
oppressed, seek to redress their wrongs. [Al-Qur'an, Sura: 42 (Ash-Shura),
Ayat: 36-39] “
Allah the Exalted
said [in the meaning of]:
Those who believe and do good works, their Lord guideth them by
their faith. Rivers will flow beneath them in the Gardens of
Delight. Their Prayer therein will be: Subhanaka Allahumma (Glory be
to Allah) Their greeting therein will be Salam (peace). And the
conclusion of their prayer will be al-Hamdu liLlahi Rabbi-l-`alameen
(Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds).[Yunus, 10:10-11].
All praise is due to Allah, who has guided us to this; and we would
not have been guided, had Allah not guided us.
wa salla Allahu `ala Nabiyyina Mohammad wa `ala 'aalihi wa sahbih
(and may Prayer and Peace be upon the our Prophet Mohammad, his
family and his companions).
