Introduction
Malaysian University
English Test (MUET) is a test that measures achievement
and communication skills in English among the
pre-university students.
For STPM, Matriculation or
Diploma holders who wish to pursue their first degree in local
universities need to show the proof that they have sat for the
MUET.
Since 2003, IIC has become the
centre for MUET for the students.
Test Dates
The Malaysian University
English Test is administered twice a year, i.e. in May and
November.
The time-table for the test
will be sent to the candidates through the respective State
Education Departments.
The Deputy Head will inform
the time-table as soon as it is released by the State Education
Department.
Condition
of
Entry
The test is open to
candidates who have sat for any one of the
followings:

Candidates, who have sat for
examinations other than those listed above, must obtain prior
permission from the Malaysian Examinations Council to sit for
this test.

Languages (CEL) with a copy of your Identity Card (I/C) or you
may call at 03-61876900 ext 634 & 515.
International Islamic College
is NOT ALLOWED ACCEPTING any public student or student who had
officially graduated.
Dates for MUET
registration
Students of International
Islamic College, Kuala Lumpur, who wish to sit for MUET, need to
alert on the opening and closing dates of MUET registration.
MUET is administered twice a year, so, the students can choose
either to sit for the exam in May or October.

is started earlier as to consider the students’ needs and
finance, and to close earlier as to process the registration.
As soon as the Malaysian
Examinations Council announces the dates of registration, MUET
coordinator will inform the students through the IIC website or
notices pasted in the campus, and, both the coordinator and
candidates are required to alert on the amendments and deadlines
given in the local newspapers or the portal of Malaysian
Examinations Council.
If students had missed the
registration deadline in IIC, but it is yet to close at the
Malaysian Examinations Council, they can register themselves at
their respective State Education Departments and be the private
candidates.
Private Candidates
The private Candidates are:
1.
the IIC
students who had missed the registration deadlines set by the
college,
2.
the graduates
of IIC, and
3.
the public who
wish to sit the exam in IIC.
Registration forms are
available at the respective State Education Departments at a fee
of RM2.00 per set.
The entry forms and relevant
fees payable in cash or postal order must be returned to the
respective State Education Departments.
Money or postal orders are to be made payable to “Ketua
Eksekutif Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia”.

Entry
Forms
Entry forms can be obtained from the State Education Department, and the completed forms should be submitted to the Education Department of the state in which he/she wishes to sit for the test.
The opening and closing dates for registration will be announced by the Malaysian Examinations Council in the local papers in January and August.
It is the responsibility of candidates to ensure that particulars in their forms are entered correctly.
The entry forms and relevant fees payable in money or postal order must be returned to the respective State Education Departments.
Money or postal orders are to be made payable to
Setiausaha Agung Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia.
Registration will be announced by the Deputy Head and candidates are required to observe the deadlines.

MUET Test Component
The test is designed to test the English language ability of those candidates who intend to pursue their first degree courses in local public institutions of higher learning. This test comprises four components:

Muet
Statement of Results
Candidates who have lost their statement of result may apply for a certified statement of result. The application must contain information concerning the candidate, i.e. his/her full name, identity card number, year and month of the test, examination centre and index number. A fee of RM20.00
will be charged for the first application for a certified of statement of result, and subsequent RM30.00 will be charged for a second application, and RM50.00 for the third application.
Payment is to be made to the Chief Executive, the Malaysian Examinations Council.
