This will be an important and ceremonious occasion for you – a time to celebrate your success with your family and friends. There is important information that you need to know as to ensure smooth running of the graduation and convocation process. Kindly refer to the following section with respect to all of the information and processes apply in the IIC’s Virtual Convocation Ceremony 2021. TRACER STUDY & IIC ALUMNI
STEP 1
TRACER STUDY
Graduates are required to participate in the tracer study conducted by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. The questionnaires are available online at https://graduan.mohe.gov.my/skpg15/ or http://graduan.mohe.gov.my/update/default.aspx .
Please submit the slip of Tracer study to aidil_adil@yahoo.co.uk and the closing date is 29 October 2021.

GRADUATES PHOTOGRAPH
Graduates are required to submit two (2) photographs with the following criteria:
Style : Self Portrait (not a selfie), half-body and full-body picture
Background : Plain white
Picture Size : 4R portrait (4 x 6 inch / 102mm x 152mm)
Resolution : Hi-resolution (minimum 300 pixel/inch)
Image Format : JPEG or PNG
GUIDELINE & SAMPLE PHOTOS
Female attire
- Dark coloured “Baju Kurung / Kebaya”; OR
- Dark coloured formal dress; OR
- Plain coloured “Tudung” (no pattern allowed); OR
- Set your hair neatly (for Non-Muslim)
Male attire
- Dark coloured “Baju Melayu” with “Sampin Songket”; OR
- Dark coloured and collar shirt
- To put the blazer on is an option (not compulsory)
ACADEMIC SCROLL

ACADEMIC SCROLL
The graduates’ name that is printed on the academic scroll is based on the graduates’ existing records in the College Management System (CMS).
Any amendment to the student’s records can be made through Admission & Records Department (ARD) via email.

THE SETTLEMENT OF OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS
- Academic scrolls will be issued to graduates subject to the settlement of all outstanding payments.
- Any query related to outstanding tuition fee/outstanding payment; graduates may contact Finance Division

THE ACADEMIC SCROLL COLLECTION PERIOD
- Collect at the Academic Affairs Department (ARD) office starting from 18th October 2021 onward
- Graduates should present their MyKAD/Passport during the collection period.

COLLECTION ON-BEHALF VIA REPRESENTATIVE
- The Collection On-Behalf MUST bring the letter ACAD21-C.
- Attach a copy of the personal identification documents (both applicant and representative)
- Submit it to ARD
- IIC reserves the right to reject any incomplete application.
Collection on behalf of a representative is discouraged due to security and confidential reasons.

FOR THE ACADEMIC SCROLL TO BE POSTED
- For the academic scroll to be posted, fill in the Postage Request
- Submit the request via email.
There is no guarantee that the documents will reach the graduates safely.
Hence, IIC shall NOT be liable for any damage or loss of the documents.

REPLACEMENT FOR THE ACADEMIC SCROLL
- Graduates are advised to keep their academic scroll safely.
- The replacement for the academic scroll will be charged a minimum of RM100 as the replacement fee.


VIRTUAL CONVOCATION ETIQUETTE
- During the 13th IIC Convocation “Virtual” Ceremony, all graduates, together with their parents or significant others are encouraged to attend virtually.
- During the portion akin to the “awarding of diplomas”, the name of each graduate will be called. The graduates’ photos will appear on the screen. This will be the perfect opportunity for the graduates and/or his/her family members to take photos of the graduates from their respective screens/monitors at home.
- Even if we are having this virtually, everyone is encouraged to dress appropriately. We would like to enjoin everyone to help maintain the solemnity and formality of the occasion to make this event a special and memorable one.
- IIC will provide simple yet elegant “Graduation Platforms” at Mini Graduation Studio IIC for those who wish to have their graduation photo wearing academic robes by appointment only. The appointment link shall be updated at the convocation updates platform. The mini-studio will be available for six (6) months starting 18th October 2021 until 30th June 2022.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY TO ATTEND CONVOCATION?
ANSWER: RM50 for convocation processing fee. Graduates who join 13th IIC Convocation “Virtual” Ceremony shall benefit from the following:

- Exclusive display of graduation photos during virtual events,
- Downloadable convocation video link,
- Exclusive slot for photography with convocation robe at IIC (with appointment only and valid until 30 June 2022), and
- Exclusive E-CERTIFICATE for attending first virtual convocation 2021.
IF I CAN’T ATTEND THE 13TH CONVOCATION CEREMONY, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
ANSWER: Graduates are still required to fill in the GRADUATE CONFIRMATION FORM at https://forms.gle/3dXjzJ4dtAh5QRFNA and select “NOT ATTEND” and proceed with the next steps mentioned in the form.
IF I STILL HAVE AN OUTSTANDING AMOUNT OF TUITION FEE, MAY I STILL JOIN THE CONVOCATION?
ANSWER: YES. You just need to pay for the convocation fee. However, the academic scroll shall only be released after full settlement has been made.
IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND THIS CONVOCATION, CAN I JOIN THE NEXT SESSION?
ANSWER: NO, it is not allowed. The graduates’ list has been endorsed by the Board of Academic (BOA) for this convocation session. Any request to attend the next session is subject to approval by the BOA.
WHAT IS MINI STUDIO AND CAN YOU EXPLAIN ABOUT IT?
ANSWER: IIC will provide simple yet elegant “Graduation Platforms” at IIC’s Mini Graduation Studio for those who wish to have their graduation photo wearing academic robes by appointment only. You may bring your parents/spouse/siblings to take pictures with you with the maximum number of 3 persons in ONE frame.
IF I WANT TO COME TO COLLEGE TO COLLECT MY ACADEMIC SCROLL, IS THERE ANY “RENTAS DAERAH/NEGERI” LETTER FROM IIC?
ANSWER: Yes. You are required to submit your request by sending an email to secretariat_convo@iic.edu.my and we will provide a letter for you. Please provide us with the following info:
i. Full name and matric number
ii. Permanent address (current address)
iii. Contact Number
IF I DO NOT ATTEND THE CEREMONY, DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY ANYTHING?
ANSWER: No payment required. You may proceed with the collection of the academic scroll. For further clarification, graduates may refer to Academic Division. Contact persons Ms. Noormalis Ali at 012-2432280 & Ms. Noor Fauziah Kamir at 012-2064446.
WHAT ARE THE REFERENCES SHOULD BE WRITTEN ON THE PAYMENT RECEIPT ONCE PAYMENT IS MADE?
ANSWER: Graduates are required to submit the following details:
I. Recipient Reference : Name & Matric No
ii. Payment Detail : 13th Convocation Fee
DO I NEED TO PAY FOR THE POSTAGE OF ACADEMIC SCROLL?
ANSWER: No, it is an OPTIONAL. Graduates are advised to collect the scroll by themselves. However, if you can’t collect the academic scroll yourself, you may submit your request for courier service to the Academic Division. Contact person Mr Shaiful Anuar (ACAD) 012-6424985.

AFTER I PAY THE CONVOCATION FEE, SHOULD I TAKE A STUDIO PHOTO FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PHOTOGRAPH IN GRADUATE CONFIRMATION FORM?
ANSWER: NO. You are not required to submit a studio photo to be uploaded in the Graduate Confirmation Form. You may use your handphone, tab or any device to take your photo as long as it meets the requirement style as follows: self-portrait (not a selfie), half-body and full-body pictures.
WILL I RECEIVE A PRINTED PHOTO FROM THE PHOTO SESSION AT IIC’S MINI STUDIO?
ANSWER: You will receive a softcopy of your photo through email within 3 working days after the photo session.
FOR GRADUATES’ PHOTO, IS IT COMPULSORY TO WEAR PLAIN COLOR? DOES THE PATTERN MATERIALS ARE NOT ALLOWED?
ANSWER: It is advisable for graduates to upload your photo with plain baju kurung/baju melayu/shirt. However, if you do not have any plain materials, you may wear any pattern baju kurung/baju melayu/shirt preferably with dark colour.
