Diploma in Accounting (DIA) programme aims to produce graduates with competitive knowledge, principals and skills in accounting studies. The programme gives a sound understanding of the principles and core concepts of accounting along with an analysis of the various corporate financial statements. This programme enables students to adopt an enquiring and creative approach to exercise critical awareness of issues in accounting. The diploma equips students with knowledge, skills and understanding of the best practices in accounting and an appreciation of the value of research, critical thinking and effective communication. It also provides exposure or opportunities for students to acquire a solid comprehension of accounting to meet the growing challenges and demand of an accounting career in today’s modern economy. Diploma in Accounting (DIA) graduates will learn essential skills in conversation through different platform and under various conditions skills to enable them to interact effectively, preparing them to thrive in their future endeavour. Lifelong learning skilss integrated into its courses and evaluation exercise with the emphasis on critical thinking skills and personal excellence.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- A pass SPM or its equivalent with a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics and a pass in English
OR - A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
OR - A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level
OR - A pass in SKM level 3 in a related field and a pass in SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject with credits in Mathematics and a pass in English
OR - Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
* A student has to acquire 92 credit hours to complete this programme.

STUDY PATHWAY
Graduates with good academic results may further their studies at any public or foreign institution of higher learning. Among the programme available at IIC are :
- Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons)
- (Local / Foreign Universities)
- Professional courses (MICPA,ACCA and CIMA)
With the accounting degree or professional courses and working experience in the relevent field, graduates are eligible to apply as certified accountant and become a member of the accounting professional body in Malaysia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
CAREER PROSPECT
Upon completion of this programme, graduates are able to positon themselve in various sectors like finance, banking and accounting. Graduates can choose to work as Account Assinstants, Audit Assistants, Tax Assistants, Financial Advisors or even Entrepreneur.
